Les Ewen marks his debut in the dazzling world of fiction with "Looking For Mom" A treasure trove of richly drawn characters and meaningful lessons, this storybook follows the incredible journey of a young boy who sets off to find his missing mother.

In "Looking for Mom," readers will meet young Winslow and his family. Winslow's life is turned upside down when his mother is unable to return home after a week of absence. Stunned by his wife's disappearance, Winslow's father becomes a couch potato who is unable to do anything. It is now up to the young boy to look for his mother but the journey ahead of him will prove to be anything but easy. Along the way, Winslow meets a cast of quirky characters, including the Bag Lady, who could have been his aunt if his real uncle had not died; Big Mouth, a wise frog who becomes Winslow's guide and his arch nemesis, George, whom he must learn to trust if he wants to succeed in his quest.

Ewen, the evocative and compelling narrator, guides readers through stark hospitals, beat-up rowboats and, finally, to the story's unforgettable conclusion. Riveting from beginning to end, "Looking for Mom" is all at once a story of a boy's extraordinary coming-of-age, a thrilling family saga and an adventure of a lifetime. It teaches important lessons on life, family and courage while revealing the whimsical magic of stories.
