The hilarious and often poignant lives of author Kimberly A. Weires and her husband Rodney come to life in her new nonfiction devotional, "Day-to-Day With Kimberella and Prince Ain't-So-Charmin': If the Shoe Fits ... Run!" (published by WestBow Press).

Kimberella (Weires) and Prince Roderick (Rodney) live normal lives, but sometimes, their antics get them into trouble. Prince Roderick's country childhood often clashes with Kimberella's city upbringing, but their shared love of camping, fishing and playing in a band together keeps them strong.

Weires took inspiration from comic strip styles when writing her book. Each story ends with a relevant Bible quote to inspire readers to reflect, reach for their own Bibles and discover God's work in their lives.

"I want the readers to be able to turn to God for their pain, but also to not take lives so seriously that they can't laugh at situations that didn't go as planned," Weires says.

Weires is currently hard at work on her follow-up book, "Day-To-Day with Kimberella and Prince Ain't-So-Charmin': Still having a ball." She advises readers to be on the lookout for it in the near future.
