John Baird is the writer and author of the novel, "Beyond The Mystic". John first discovered his love for the art of writing when he got involved with a drama club in middle school. From that point on, John thought he was destined to become a writer, but years turned over before he would truly discover what it meant to be a writer. During the recession, John was forced to relocate, so his family could keep up with the cost of living. He was only 16 at this point. He and his family made a new home for themselves in the state of Georgia. He finished high school there, and then had to move in order to make ends meet yet again. John found a new home in the state of Oklahoma. It was there that John searched for employment for some time, until finally, he found a job at a warehouse/factory. John's job was quite remedial, which allowed him to think about whatever. John spent most of his time creating "Beyond The Mystic" in his mind. Today, John lives in Oklahoma, and he cannot wait to write his next book.

Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, John Baird Jr.'s a supernatural battle between man and mystics spanning centuries of bloodshed and suffering.

Following the Salem Witch Hunt, comes a three-hundred-year war between the bloodline of the first of the witch hunters and the witches/warlocks. The hunters believe that the witches want to destroy all of humanity, and they're right, but not for their own pleasure, but for survival. The witches and warlocks call themselves mystics, and they only fight back because the horrors of men force them to. Mystics have a spiritually enlightening ability that enables them to become one with creationism. Because of the hatred within the mystics' hearts, they aren't able to open themselves up to the enlightenment, all except for one that is. The one known to the mystics as the Prodigy experiences an existential sensation that shows him humanity's hope, love, and willingness to be better. He then leaves the home of the mystics to pursue what may lie in the great beyond. In Salem Massachusetts, the Prodigy finds Kate, a young witch hunter in training who starts to question her true purpose. Together, they journey to discover a peaceful way to end the war of mystics and men.
