Established and aspiring authors can learn insider secrets when literary agent and brand licensing expert Jane Putch of Eyebait Management joins a roster of top book dealmakers in the highly anticipated session, "Ask an Agent" at Comic-Con International in San Diego on Friday.

Los Angeles-based Putch, who handles both fiction and nonfiction adult and YA-MG writers, is the agent who led National Book Award finalist and New York Times bestselling author Laini Taylor into a lucrative book and film deal for her phenomenal, page-turning epic "Daughter of Smoke and Bone" trilogy (Little, Brown Books for Young Readers and Universal Studios).

"I can't imagine trying to navigate publishing, let alone film, without Jane," said Laini Taylor. "There's an immense sense of security that comes of having total trust in her, and our partnership is the bedrock of my career. I am hugely lucky."

Putch is a different kind of literary agent, managing authors' careers with a well-honed and passionate love of storytelling. She combines that passion for storytelling with 20-plus years of strategic brand and licensing consulting for Fortune 500 companies, entertainment studios and talent-led brands. Putch brings her branding expertise to her authors and their works to maximize their value and reach.

At the Comic-Con panel, Putch will join other top agents in a robust Q & A on book-to-film rights, the logistics of book publishing and the secrets of bestsellers.

Putch has long attended Comic-Con. "Aside from being great fun, Comic-con is a key source of pop culture's most creative writers and readers," Putch said.
"I am delighted to appear on this panel to help writers and artists navigate a path to publishing and marketing success.
