Jacob William Watters Announces New Poetry Book

By:

From author Jacob William Watters comes a unique collection of rhymes and verses, titled Curbside Assistance and the Benefit of Mistakes. Readers will witness ruminations on the diverse aspects of life through prose and poetry, with words that touch the soul through an infusion of emotional musicality straight from the author's heart.

Watters writes in simple, flowing language and often with rhyme and meter, which readers may find more similar to the beat of modern rock or pop music than classic poetry, giving the overtures a distinct tune that is unmistakably his. The pieces in his compilation give homage to friends, family, nature, god, love, failure and success - celebrating the things that are most vital in life, the experiences which give it meaning, which animate it with the power of emotions. Spanning a wide breadth of subject matter and always original, the reading of Watters' prose is something readers are sure to remember.

"Happy are those / Who do not know / The advice of the wicked / Or take the path / Sinners hath / To join the ungodly amidst harsh thickets. / Instead they dwell on the law of the Lord / Finding their joy as they adore / These meditations both day and night," say the verses of "Psalm 1," paraphrasing the Book of Psalms.

Curbside Assistance and the Benefit of Mistakes is a one-of-a-kind anthology of poetry that takes readers down the wonderful road of life where they will see that the most important thing is not the destination, but the journey itself.
