J.D. Thomas Announces Release of The Fight Before Christmas

For many, Christmas is a time of family gatherings and celebration. But for the Christmas tree fairies, it can be a time of fierce competition. In “The Fight Before Christmas” (published by AuthorHouse UK) by J.D. Thomas, the Christmas tree fairies are fighting for the position at the top of the tree — and this quarrel could not have come at a worse time for one little girl and her mother. The book features original artwork by Hannah Maryse Robinson.

Edwina, the Christmas tree fairy, has been in control of the Christmas tree ornaments for longer than most of them can remember. But this year, there’s a new fairy in town — the flamboyant Consuela — bought on a family holiday in Valencia. Chaos erupts on Christmas Eve as the fairies fight for position at the top of the tree. It looks as though Christmas will be ruined. It’s more important than ever this year, because for Beth and her mother, the tree is more than an ornament. It holds memories of happier times and of people they love. Can the ornaments learn to work together in time to make Beth’s wish to see her mother smile again come true?

Though the book is filled with whimsy, Thomas says the book also comes ready with an important message: “Looks have become a big issue in today’s society and even quite young children are over-focused on their appearance. This story tries to remind us that how someone looks is not the most important thing about them.”
