Author Mary Lee Grothe uncovers a vibrant picture book that lets readers experience the excitement of a whole new wonderful world in "Fanciful Friends." With its colorful illustrations and rhyming tales, readers will surely have a good laugh as they journey with remarkable characters and their adventures.

Having always liked to paint, this is Grothe's first book of children's poetry with original watercolors. She has many more stories just waiting to be brought to life and shared with children of all ages. In this book, children will love to meet adorable characters like Pacey John, a dancing frog, and Little Mousy Tippy Toes. They will be able to enjoy the rhyming adventures that teach them valuable lessons about life and friendship. The wonderful water color paintings will draw them into a fanciful world where fun and excitement are in abundance.

The imaginative narrative will appeal to children and the interesting pictures will keep their little eyes busy. Akin to old-fashioned nursery rhymes, each page tells its own rhyming story through a poem. The author has the ability to bring the characters to life and letting the readers feel like they are a part of every adventure. Some of the tales are interesting musings about the things that one usually sees everywhere.

A charming read, "Fanciful Friends" is a refreshing way to view things and learn valuable lessons about life.
