Glidden Books Releases 'Best Bitches'

Author Meg Glidden grew up with a large extended family full of big female personalities. Now she taps that experience in the first of a planned series of books which target gender specific archetypes within families and wider society, in an effort to shed light on how we can better navigate complicated relationships through understanding and acceptance.

Meg drew from her many experiences growing up and working as a mental health clinician to come up with archetype ideas. "Cattiness among various groups of females is universal," the author said. "When you just throw random female personalities together in the melting pot of life, all kinds of issues are bound to arise."

The series will capture the idiosyncrasies, difficulties, and fun of various interactions with starkly different gender and personality types. This modern self help investigation is rooted on psychological foundations, but will show a lighter side of each personality as well through candid insight and advice.

Meg is a Master of Science in Human Services, Mental Health Counseling, an alumni of Capella University and a Nationally Certified Counselor through the NBCC. Currently the Clinical Director at Tiger Mountain Recovery, in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Her clinical specialties include addiction as a brain disease, multi-tiered grief, holistic therapeutic modalities, and chronic pain management. She is an enthusiastic advocate for the possibilities of recovering from the curveballs of chance and reclaiming life through comprehensive psychoeducation and implemented lifestyle change.
