When somebody is hurt by the person they love and care about, they can either hold on to anger, resentment and thoughts of revenge or embrace forgiveness, free themselves of hatred and move forward. Luckily author Gala Waken chose the latter and now shares a life of joy and contentment reflected in her new book, "My Home Sweet Home: A Life of Commitment with Contentment."

While writing her true-to-life story chronicled in her first book, Waken's heart was cleansed from deep hurt and hatred that nearly possessed her life. She attributes the change after receiving God's grace which freed her from sin and guilt. Now she truly believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross, in her place, gave her a new life with Him; a life that is peaceful and full of contentment. The years following have been filled with forgiveness and understanding, a life committed to God with contentment of her church and family. After she learned to let go was when she was able to see life in a new and brighter perspective, a life filled with love, faith and reverence to God, which is the main theme of her memoir.

Wanting to showcase the unmerited favor and love she received even after she made bad choices in the past, Waken inspires readers who have many wrong decisions to not be discouraged in life, but be driven to seek the Lord and live a life full of His love and blessings. "My Home Sweet Home: A Life of Commitment with Contentment" is not just a narrative and a legacy for her children, but an inspiration and proof of Waken's mantra in life, "Forgiveness rolls in like a tide, sweeping away all that would hinder us from knowing God."
