Change Making Change Fund, (CMC) a non-profit organization dedicated to helping children around the world through the collection of pocket change, today announced that First Book will be the recipient of non-designated donations in May 2013. All non-designated money donated this month to Change Making Change through convenient Coinstar kiosks will support First Book's efforts to end knowledge poverty by providing new books to children in need.

"Small donations can add up to make a big difference, and we're thrilled to be partnering with Change Making Change to turn those small donations into brand-new books for kids in need across the country," said Kyle Zimmer, president and CEO of First Book.

First Book has delivered more than 100 million books to kids in the U.S. and Canada, providing badly-needed content for educators and administrators and helping elevate educational opportunities for the country's most disadvantaged youth.

"First Book was one of the first organizations that CMC chose to support," noted Rich Stillman, founder and executive director, Change Making Change. "We believe their work - to leverage the power of reading to end poverty - makes a significant impact in our community and in communities across the nation. We're proud to play a small role in furthering its mission."

To participate, drop spare change at a local Coinstar kiosk that is programmed to accept donations and select Change Making Change Fund as the recipient.
