Fins Attached Publishes Dr. Hammerhead Swims with Sharks

Fins Attached, a Marine Research and Conservation non-profit, is proud to publish a new book by Shark Behaviorist, Dr. Peter Klimley, titled Dr. Hammerhead Swims with Sharks. Expected to hit the shelves in April 2019, fellow marine biologists and shark lovers alike will have the chance to read the picture-laden sequel to his first popular publication, The Secret Life of Sharks: A Leading Marine Biologist Reveals the Mysteries of Shark Behavior.

The 250-page book is filled with color images and first-hand experiences which takes the reader from swimming with sharks to understanding communication among sharks. The reader can expect to learn if it is safe to swim in schools of hammerhead sharks and why their schools are so incredibly large, and even answer the age-old question, is the white shark a man-eater or a seal-eater? Spoiler alert, they are not man eaters, but there is so much more to learn from the writings of Dr. Klimley.

“This is Fins Attached’s first publication and we’re proud to be working with such a renowned shark researcher and well-written author,” began Dr. Alex Antoniou, founder of Fins Attached. “Dr. Klimley, is a longtime friend and supporter of Fins Attached and being able to publish his work, helps more people learn about sharks and how to conserve these much misunderstood animals.”

Dr. Hammerhead Swims with Sharks, hardcover book, will be available to purchase through the Fins Attached store, and other outlets for $34.95. Pre-orders are being accepted. It will also be available at future Fins Attached events and conferences for purchase. The next event is the annual gala dinner, Saving Our Seas from a Mile High, on April 13, 2019, at the Halcyon Hotel. Dr. Klimley will be in attendance as a speaker. Guests will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Klimley and have their book signed by the acclaimed scientist.

Profits from the book will benefit Fins Attached, aiding in the research and conservation of sharks, including Klimley’s favorite hammerheads.
