CrossBooks, the assisted self-publishing imprint of B&H Publishing Group, a division of LifeWay Christian Resources, announced its finalists for the first annual CrossBooks Writing Contest.

Thirty deserving Christian-themed manuscripts from many submissions have been selected to move on past the first round of judging. One finalist will be selected by the contest's five judges to receive a Marketing Plus publishing package and be featured on the CrossBooks website homepage during the month of publication.

"The manuscripts we have chosen are wonderful examples of sharing the Gospel," said Selma Wilson, president of B&H Publishing Group. "We are impressed by the many writers who took the first step in bringing their messages to a mass market. The choice of a winner won't be an easy one. Our list of finalists is strong."

The contest was open to writers of unpublished Christian-themed manuscripts of at least 10,000 words in length. The winner will be announced April 15.
