'Farm Girl' by Shanna Hatfield is Released

Author Shanna Hatfield shares some of her most embarrassing, humorous, and agonizing tales of growing up on an Eastern Oregon farm in her recent release, "Farm Girl."

Based on true experiences from her childhood, Hatfield offers a collection of elaborately exaggerated stories designed to keep readers engaged and entertained.

Ever wondered if baby skunks can spray, what it's like to be chased by mad mama cow, or how to trap a gopher? In a humorous, engaging spin on her youthful adventures, Hatfield answers these questions and more.

Hatfield began writing romances in February 2010 and her works first published in June 2011 when The Women of Tenacity series debuted. She followed those stories with the Grass Valley Cowboys series, the best-selling Pendleton Petticoats series, and several stand-alone books.

Farm Girl is her 26th book and her sixth non-fiction publication.

"Laughter is good for the heart and soul," said Hatfield. "I want people to read Farm Girl and spend an hour or two enjoying pure silliness and joy."

Hatfield blogs about her adventures in fiction writing, publishing, and promotion at She is a member of Western Writers of America, Women Writing the West, and Romance Writers of America. Her books are available from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Smashwords, and Kobo.

A graduate from Southern Oregon University with a bachelor's degree in communications, Hatfield spent ten years as a newspaper journalist before switching gears into marketing. She left her "day" job in marketing in 2013 to pursue writing full-time.

Farm Girl will be available for free downloads on Amazon Aug. 13 through Aug. 17, 2014.
