Author John (JD) Zumwalt knows that being a Christian doesn't automatically mean that everything in life is going to be wonderful. On the contrary, Christians face the same trials and tribulations as non-believers. He sets out to inform readers about the reality of being a Christian in today's world in his practical new book "Fairytale Christianity: Living as a Christian in the REAL world" (published by iUniverse).

"Christianity is misrepresented - sometimes on purpose - to make it sound like something it is not," Zumwalt writes. "The book discusses the real world of the wonderful gift we have been given; however, God is not Santa Claus."

Using Scripture to back up his arguments, Zumwalt examines the realistic implications of living a Christian life. He points out that accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior does not necessarily mean that one's troubles will fall by the wayside. Rather, a strong foundation of Christian faith is something to fall back on during tough times and when facing challenges.

"In a world where we are given so much false information about living as a Christian, this book presents the truth as presented by Scripture," Zumwalt writes.
