The mission, should Nathan Doyle choose to accept it, is to search for illegal nuclear plants in an underwater research center 3,000 meters below sea level off the coast of Japan while simultaneously saving his aunt's life after being abducted.

In Enoch Chang's new book, "Secret Intelligence: Dark Rim," we are introduced to the first installment in the author's action packed series about 14-year old protagonist Nathan Doyle and his adventures. The thriller will intrigue the young adult book world with the suspense of surviving in a world of secrets and espionage.

Chang, a 15-year-old Malaysian student, began writing as a hobby at the youthful age of 13 while garnering inspiration from his favorite spy novel series by Anthony Horowitz, the Alex Rider books.

Chang said, "I'm naturally a shy person and my thoughts and ideas are usually expressed better through writing."

The young author has since written two books and is currently working on the third in his "Secret Intelligence" series about Nathan Doyle's adventures. Who better to write about a fictional world of a teenager than a teenager himself?

"'Secret Intelligence: Dark Rim' appeals to kids my age," Chang said. "Actually, I think most readers my age want something interesting to read instead of the literature in school. My books are not meant for education or learning puposes. I think you can just kick back and enjoy the flow of the adventure. I write for enjoyment and I want my readers to enjoy what I've written."
