In her new book, Joined by God, author Elizabeth Strong shares a true story of hurting and lonely people involved in an extraordinary "Taboo" love. Not just a personal chronicle of a most fascinating odyssey, Strong's literary debut also examines some of the life choices and issues that confront Christians and Christian couples today-i.e meeting "Mr. Wrong" before meeting"Mr. Right" and Do you have the right spouse?

Joined by God chronicles the journey of two people from different races and cultures who, through prayer, find love in each other. Strong lived in some of the most cosmopolitan communities in the United States including New York City and Los Angeles. After a series of failed relationships, she prayed and asked God for the partner who was right for her-regardless of race.

Hundreds of miles away, in Oklahoma, one man also asked his Heavenly Father to help him find the woman that he was supposed to spend the rest of his life with. David was born and raised in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, and spent most of his life there. The chances of these two people ever meeting seemed slim but as their story soon reveal, nothing is impossible with God. The journey was fraught with hardship and uncertainty; it tested and ultimately strengthened their faith and devotion.

A celebration of the miracle of prayer, power of love and a Heavenly Father leveling the playing field. Joined by God tells a touching story of two surrendered people who dared to fight the odds. It explores the intricacies of relationships in the astonishing search for a Christian spouse in the light of God's word. Strong allowed the foreword of the book to be written by Eddie Faye Gates, Author, Historian and Lecturer -on the 1921 Race Riot. This foreword then legitimizes this sensitive and "Taboo" invisible topic-Race
