NEW YORK

"Love Has No Color" is about applied love, respect and dedication which siphon the weeds of discord and discontent between hero and heroine. This book serves to fulfill a little fantasy and share a little hope of healing. It entertains the possibilities of intimately bringing people considered 'different' together, showing them the insignificance of their color and that regardless of these so-called differences, they are one living, breathing entity sharing the same space in different vessels.

Nanzee and Basil Barden-Love, with their family, continually and undauntingly conquer whatever life brings. Meanwhile, Gwen Duncan is on the rollercoaster ride of her life; she finds herself enduring things she emphatically detests. For Love, her reason for endurance is the cause of her misery. He, however, is determined not to be bullied by her. She will know there is a difference between Basil and himself. Nanzee, on occasion winces at Gwen's thoughtlessness, but she determines never to let it ruin her marriage. Meanwhile, Gwen, herself moves through a maze of uncertainty as their friendship forged since childhood is threatened.

In "Love Has No Color", Nanzee Barden-Love nee Johnson, and husband, Basil Barden-Love's dedication and love to each other give wings to the story. Their relationship is a continuous blooming. They are the example others wish to follow. The characters themselves present a great measure of fascination. They reveal their strengths and their weaknesses. Society prefers to separate on any number of differences. In this case, diversity is celebrated and appreciated. Hero and heroine are as one and in this oneness have created their own legacy for readers to see and admire.

About the Author
Edna Taylor marked 1970 as her departure from Nassau, Bahamas to New York City. The Big Apple led her down many paths: marriage, motherhood and penning her fast and furious thoughts onto paper. The gift, once storytelling in the dark, took on new meaning. A void she recognized but could not explain was filled. After she received her first rejection letter, however, she was devastated. She abandoned her talent under life's bushel. But the moral here is: Rejection letters are not meant to keep a good gift down. And so, she writes.
