Tractors are an integral and significant part of today's Agriculture. Dr Graeme R Quick has produced a collection of tractor-related episodes about both modern and vintage machines. Even when they have long retired from farming operations, tractors can appreciate in value and nostalgic appeal. However this book is not just about vintage tractors. It's a collection of thirty-four never-previously-published stories. They are all interesting, well illustrated, often humorous, and certainly entertaining. Each of the stories will grab the attention of people far removed from The Farming scene.

This is Dr Quick's fourteenth book. American Tractor Stories have been collected from individuals who the Australian-born author contacted during the thirteen-plus years that he lived in the North America, as well as from a wide range of sources. Some of the stories have been embellished with imagination and there are fresh cartoons as well. Some stories will bring nostalgic memories, while on the other hand the 'Ten Commandments for collectors' chapter is stern, while 'Tractors as Investments' is thought-provoking. The Electrall chapter will surprise when the reader learns that electric drives are in the very latest foreign-made tractors and is a game-changing technology that is here to stay.

Refreshingly written, American Tractor Stories will hold the reader's attention. This is a book readers will want to share with friends.
