Dan Rizzo Tackles 'Matters of the Heart and Soul' in Poetry Book Dan Rizzo masterfully weaves rhythm and rhyme, poetry and prose in his debut book release featuring "Matters of the Heart and Soul: Released and Free" (published by iUniverse). Inspired from his personal journey through love, loss and the belief that one day, his soul mate will find him, this poignant collection offers comfort and understanding that no one is alone in the arena of love.

In "Matters of the Heart and Soul," Rizzo offers varied contemporary poems with in-depth reflections exploring many of the feelings related to love and the pain of broken promises. From mesmerizing emerald eyes to a passionate love that binds two souls forever, to forbidden inner-thoughts that overshadow a dinner conversation, he takes readers down a joyful, sometimes sorrow-filled path where he subtly encourages others to persevere through heartache to find the one thing people crave most in life: true love.

A snippet from the book reads:
    I move closer,
    Hands moving slowly.
    A soft moan,
    Eyes still closed,
A soft smile crosses your lips.
    You know I am here…

"Love is a consistent experience for all ages. The experiences explained are raw and explicit and are the same as those felt by those in love and lost love," Rizzo on his book's highlights. "'Matters of the Heart and Soul' will share to readers a warm smile and sometimes a feeling of comfort that I am not alone because a poem/passage relates to them."
