About the Author
Anatoliy Ilizarov grew up in Moscow, Russia, the youngest of three brothers. As a child, he dreamt of a career in the performing arts, but was reluctantly persuaded by his family to pursue a degree in medicine. In the end, it was a great choice. He wholeheartedly enjoyed medical school and four years of busy neonatal practice in Moscow. In 1992, his family moved to the US to expand their opportunities, and in 1994 he entered a pediatric residency program followed by a neonatology fellowship in New York. After accomplishing years of clinical practice with a rewarding and productive career as a physician, he developed a keen interest in the administrative side of healthcare, and thus in 2011 he decided to pursue an MBA in Healthcare Administration.
