An excerpt from the book:

"I had been involved in an accident that had wounded my leg and hip a few days earlier. I was out delivering water when the truck, filled with water, rolled over, and my left leg got trapped under it. This was my first major accident, and I was scared. I was glad the engine was already turned off because a fire might have occurred. My helper, a bigger man than I was, fell on me. I had to help him up and out of the other side so he could call for help. I was praying someone was listening on the vhf (very high frequency radio), so he could be understood because he was tongue-tied. But he was heard and understood right away."
