Rosenburg, TX

Carla McDougal is known for her sparkling personality, her impact as a speaker and her ability to inspire audiences with her simple messages. Now, Carla will be appearing as a featured speaker at the Calvary Baptist Church's Women's Retreat, to be held from August 15 to 17 at the Round Top Retreat Center in Rosenburg, Texas. For more information about the retreat, see http://calvaryrosenberg.org.

Carla is a powerhouse speaker who always receives rave reviews wherever she is invited to speak. She will be addressing the women at the retreat on how to inspire their prayer lives by focusing on God's voice. According to Carla, "The more we listen to the Holy Spirit, the more our prayer lives become God-focused instead of me-focused. As oxygen is to the blood, so is the Holy Spirit to your spiritual walk. Praise Him for teaching you to trust Him even though it doesn't seem to make sense."

Carla's book My Prayer Chair is a personal look at prayer life and how it can change and grow over time. Her book is now being published in Spanish by Next Century Publishing. Carla recently returned from a trip to Guatemala where she was able to share her teaching with women who were married to pastors or going into ministry themselves. Reflective Life Ministries, the group Carla founded, has been instrumental in crossing language lines to help her bring her message to Spanish speakers across the world.

The women of Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenburg will be able to hear Carla's message and benefit from her simple wisdom as part of their retreat. For more information on Carla and her books as well as Reflective Life Ministries, see http://www.reflectivelifeministries.org.
