Author Carl Turner's new novel, "Angela's Club: A Love Story" (published by iUniverse), expounds upon the power of love, illustrating its life-changing effects on three people who had all but given up on love.

When up-and-coming cardiologist Dr. Nate Williams finds himself suspended from his hospital for a month, he has no clue what to do with himself. The demands of medical school have taken a toll on his relationships. It is then he realizes he is attracted to Sandy, one of the best cardiology nurses he has ever met. However Sandy, in contrast to him, has a loving heart and this scares him and he finds himself painfully alone.

That is until he meets bookstore owner Angela. Sensing his loneliness, Angela invites Nate to join her book club, where he meets a fascinating new group of people. As love blooms between him and Angela, Nate's heart grows and he finds Angela has started him on a journey, a journey that will take him and Angela and Sandy to unexpected places.

"We are all on a journey of love and adventure," says Turner, "and while there is no guarantee that the journey will end well, everyone can experience the excitement of a journey of love."
