Creating Musical Theatre features interviews with the directors and choreographers that make up today's Broadway elite. Here's what Broadway veterans are saying:

"As a former student of Lyn Cramer, I remember her speaking about many famous Broadway choreographers. When I moved to New York, I was fortunate enough to work with most of the people she has interviewed for this book. She captures each artist perfectly. Any young performer should do themselves a favor and read this book. It's a great opportunity to learn about the best in our business, where they come from and how they got started." - Kristin Chenoweth, Tony and Emmy Award Winner

Victoria Clark, Tony Award winner

"I love this book! It's current, engaging, heartfelt, and a genuine look into the "business". Lyn asks insightful questions to reveal the unique creative process of each artist. It's an invaluable compilation for anyone in the arts. Knowing and having worked with so many of the choreographers, I felt as if I were sitting there talking with them. I only wish I would have had this priceless information as a young actress." - Judy McLane, Broadway veteran

"Creating Musical Theatre is bound to become the 'Bible' for any aspiring student of Musical Theatre." -Jeff McCarthy, Broadway and Television veteran actor

"You know the expression, 'You're only as good as the company you keep?' Lyn Cramer proves it by the stellar company she keeps: a dozen of the best directors and/or choreographers working in New York, London, and around the world-ones who are keeping the Broadway musical alive and thriving. But more to the point, these luminaries can only be as good in print if they're asked the right questions. Lyn Cramer knows what to ask and when to ask it. The result is a fascinating look at Broadway today." -Peter Filichia, author 'Broadway Musical MVP's' and critic emeritus for The Star-Ledger.

Lyn Cramer is an Endowed Professor of Musical Theatre Dance at the University of Oklahoma. Teaching for over 24 years in higher education, Lyn Cramer is also a professional director-choreographer and a member of SDC (Stage Society of Directors and Choreographers) and AEA (Actors Equity Association).
