BooktrackTM, the company that adds soundtracks to stories, announced today that writers are now able to upload their own music and sounds using the Booktrack Studio software, and synchronize it with their own stories. Quick and easy to use, Booktrack's Audio Upload function makes it easy for anyone to create a truly unique, cinematic experience using their own text and soundtrack.

"Our users are already experiencing what it's like to create and publish Booktracks to make their work more engaging and immersive," said Paul Cameron, CEO of Booktrack. "Now, for the first time writers can use their own music and sounds using our cutting-edge technology, allowing their booktracks to be more personal and unique."

Last month, Booktrack announced that for the first time, anyone can access its audio library of over 20,000 soundtracks, ambient audio and sound effects to create and then publish any length booktracked story. Writers can quickly embed music, ambient audio, and sound effects into their story that will play in synch with the storyline, paced to each individual's reading speed.

With today's announcement, writers can further share their creative vision by booktracking with their own music. Users simply upload their .wav files to the Audio Library to have access to them. They can also access Booktrack's database of more than 20,000 audio files. Writers can then immediately self-publish their Booktrack title, instantaneously reaching new global audiences with their own text, music and sounds.

Users must own the necessary rights to any audio they upload and use in published booktracks. Any audio uploaded is private and only available for the user to apply to booktracks. In the future, Booktrack plans to make users' audio available to others and possibly even sell tracks to other users. Mobile versions of Booktrack Studio and the ability for writers to sell their Booktrack titles will be coming soon.
