Book Explores the Biblical Idea that Humans Have Both Soul and Spirit According to Daniel Punzak, P.E., humanity is the product of multiple evolutionary steps - beginning with nonliving molecules conjured into living matter - has been a pervasive mode of thought for over 150 years. And this mode of thought is known as physicalism, materialism, or the mechanistic view of life. In "A Spiritual Hypothesis: An Inquiry into Abnormal and Paranormal Behavior" (published by AuthorHouse in April 2017), he demonstrates that a spiritual perspective of human consciousness and behavior has more evidence to substantiate it than does the mechanistic paradigm.

Set for a new marketing campaign, the book explores the biblical idea that humans have both a soul and a spirit. It chronicles numerous modern psychological findings that support this notion. By understanding how the soul and the spirit interact, Punzak thinks that it will be easier to explain human behavior especially mental illnesses and criminal behavior. He added that creativity can be explained as a product of one of these spiritual components.

"I believe readers will feel more hopeful about the future as I explain in this book how conditions such as mental illnesses and criminal behavior can be both corrected and prevented," Punzak points out. "This is important in these days of frequent mass shootings."

"Some of our country's problems are solvable, such as domestic abuse and mass shootings that have become more frequent. The approach to creativity I suggest could slow down or stop the climate change that is occurring as well."
