Billy Crudup Stars In HARRY CLARKE On Audible

On Tuesday, Audible will release the digital audio release of Harry Clarke, a sexually charged and wickedly funny theatrical production starring Tony Award-winning actor Billy Crudup and written by Obie-award winner David Cale.

The Audible release means that critically acclaimed, riveting one-man play, which was performed live at New York's Vineyard Theatre in late 2017, will be accessible to anyone, anytime, anywhere, enabling people to relive the theater magic, or experience it for the first time if they were not fortunate enough to attend in person.

The audio production also includes David Cale's solo play, Lillian, performed by the author.

Harry Clarke is the story of a shy Midwestern man leading an outrageous double life as the cocky Londoner of the title. Moving to New York City and presenting himself as an Englishman, he charms his way into a wealthy family's life as the seductive and precocious Harry, and his increasingly risky and dangerous behavior threatens to undo more than his persona.

In a rave review of the stage production, The New York Times hailed Crudup's performance as "a sly role terrifically suited to his gifts." And The Hollywood Reporter praised Crudup's "tour-de-force performance; effortlessly delineating his multiple characters, switching accents at the drop of a hat."
