Author Bert Oldenhuis tells the tale of a motley crew of shipmates on an international adventure in his entertaining new novel, "A Doghouse Tale" (published by AuthorHouse UK).

Set in the late 1960s, "A Doghouse Tale" follows two young American men, Case and Brian, on the adventure of a lifetime. When they board a rusty old freighter named the S.S. Flower Power, they think the ship will make its way to India without incident.

Unknown to Case and Brian, a container with mysterious contents is buried underneath the 10,000 tons of chemical fertilizer the S.S. Flower Power is carrying. Before they know it, the two friends become involved in stealing the contents of the container and delivering it to its rightful owner.

With vivid descriptions of conditions aboard the ship and a colorful cast of multicultural crew members, "A Doghouse Tale" tells a fast-paced, memorable story filled with humor and intrigue.
