THE CUCKOO'S CALLING, the first book in the Cormoran Strike written by Robert Galbraith (AKA J.K. Rowling, author of the best selling Harry Potter series), is set to become a television series in the USA on February 2, 2018. The series will premiere in the USA on Cinemax. It has been airing in the UK on the BBC as Strike. The US version is renaming the series to C.B. Strike because another show in their line-up is called Strike.

The series stars Tom Burke and Holliday Grainger as Detective Cormoran Strike and his assistant, Robin Elliott.

The series follows Detective Cormoran Strike, a P.I. formally in the army who uses his expertise and background to solve various cases.

Last month, the BBC picked up a third season of the series, which will begin airing next year. The first season covers THE CUCKOO'S CALLING, while the second one features the novel THE SILKWORM. Next year, they'll air CAREER OF EVIL.

At this time, it is unknown how fast each UK production will air in the USA.
