Hank Green has some big shoes to fill in 2018 when his debut novel AN ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE THING publishes with Dutton, an imprint of Penguin Random House.

Hank is best known for starring on the wildly popular YouTube Channel Vlog Brothers that he co-authors with his brother John Green.

John has won the Printz Award for his prestigious novel LOOKING FOR ALASKA and his Best Selling Novels THE FAULT IN OUR STARS and PAPER TOWNS have been made into movies. His latest title, TURTLES ALL THE WAY DOWN, releases next week and is his first novel in over five years.

Hank isn't as prolific as his brother--yet. But all of that is about to change. AN ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE THING centers around "an art student in New York City named April May, who finds herself at the center of a vast international mystery. One day, April stumbles on a giant robot sculpture in Midtown Manhattan, and makes a video with the figure, which goes viral. She becomes famous as news spreads that similar sculptures have mysteriously appeared in dozens of cities, and people around the world struggle to understand where the figures came from and what they mean."

In an article with the New York Times, Hank stated, "In a lot of ways it comes from a lot of my personal experience with how success feels. There's the very weird feeling of being bigger in people's heads than you feel you are."

He began writing his novel six years ago after waking from an odd dream and toying with it until it was a bit more fleshed out. Unlike John, however, whose books are predominantly written for teenagers, AN ABSOLUTELY REMARKABLE THING is set to be published as adult fiction. The book will be a mix of sci-fi and mystery, and is the first in a two-book deal with Dutton.
