BOOK RELEASE OF 'SAM AND ME: THE WEEK I SPENT A YEAR WITH SAM KINISON' BY STEVE LAMAR

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ Steve Nguyen of Steve Nguyen & Associates, the PR rep for author and producer, Steve Lamar, announced today the release of his new book, "SAM and ME: The Week I Spent A Year With SAM KINISON" now available exclusively at Amazon.com (http://tinyurl.com/SAMandME). The SAM and ME author tells the true story of his less-than-modest small town Texas childhood, his escape to Hollywood at the age of seventeen, and the crazy week he spent with comedian, Sam Kinison, after discovering him at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles before he became a comic legend. Written in a conversational tone with humor and honesty, SAM and ME is a must read for any fan of Sam's, or any fan of stand-up comedy.

Lamar said, "Discovering and working with Sam was one of the highlights of my television career. Being in a room with just me, Sam Kinison and Robin Williams that was one of the highlights of my life, even though Robin thought I was going to kill him."

Lamar started out in television as a personal driver, and then production assistant, for Emmy Award winning television writer/producer/director Tom Patchett, and later as associate producer of the hit sitcoms ALF and Boy Meets World. He has also associate produced network series with stars such as Sandra Bullock, Henry Winkler, Whoopi Goldberg and David Schwimmer. Steve Lamar, now known for his work as executive producer and owner of Lamar Brothers Productions in Nashville, has received four Grammy Award nominations for Best Music Video: Reba McEntire "What Do You Say," Martina McBride "Concrete Angel," Martina McBride "God's Will" and Big & Rich "8th of November." Lamar was also nominated for an ACM award for Carrie Underwood's hit music video, "Two Black Cadillacs."
