In 1890 women were expected to marry young and spend their lives taking care of the children and household, but there were powerful women who dared to defy the standard.

Inspired by a distant cousin, who was Virginia's first female lawyer, author James R. Taylor, III created heroine Annabelle Wolfe who hopes to start her law career by taking down a vicious killer in his new novel Bits & Pieces.

Taylor's background in criminal psychology allows him to create a truly disturbing villain that makes Jack the Ripper look like Barney the dinosaur. As he leaves a trail of mutilated bodies, Annabelle must overcome social boundaries using her determined wit to bring down a sociopath that has left the police clueless.

"I am a history enthusiast," said Taylor "When I discovered my distant cousin's history and then came across the story of the infamous 'Mohawk Butcher' from the late 1800's, I knew pitting the two against each other would make for a great story."

Bits & Pieces takes us to a world where DNA analysis, spectrometers and computers do not exist. Can Annabelle Wolfe channel enough pure intuition and investigative skill to capture her metaphoricAl White whale?
