After the successful release of his debut political title "The Extraordinary Rendition of Vincent Dellamaria," author Jack Walker returns to the world of fiction with "Doctor Blood Moon" (published by Xlibris). This latest title introduces the character of Dr. Johnny Blood and his suspense-pact adventure to redemption and new life.

Dr. Johnny Blood, raised on a poor Indian reservation, was the leading heart surgeon in California when his marriage fell apart and an important patient mysteriously died on his operating table. He quit medicine to re-invent himself, and was aided in his quest by a beautiful actress, a Crow Indian nephew, and a physician colleague. Ultimately, he learned that the patient's death had been orchestrated by a Mexican drug gang, to his relief and horror.

Walker weaves his narrative around three-dimensional characters and a canny plot progress. It encompasses the dismal and meritable aspects of personalities that make stories memorable. The book also touches on many contemporary issues including the film industry, immigration, the Afghan War and PTSD, alcoholism, the changing medical profession, Los Angeles, the gang scene, prostate cancer and AIDs among others.

The author draws inspiration from personal experience as a lawyer. He hopes that through his writing, readers will not only gain new insights on matters of political concern but also find the encouragement to pursue their own redemption.
