BOSTON

For more than 55 years, author Arnold S. Judson worked in a wide variety of organizations at every level, from production foreman to CEO and board chair, gaining perspective on issues, priorities and levers for change.

Judson invites readers to share in his learning in his book, "True Success: What It Means and How Organizations Can Achieve It" (published by iUniverse). This year, Judson is marketing his book to a wider audience with a new press campaign. Some example topics covered in his book include:

  • Despite high resistance to change, organizations can achieve substantial improvement in the way they perform.
  • Success can be defined in many different ways.
  • Understanding fully both the organization's external environment and its internal dynamics as a necessary prerequisite.
  • A hierarchy of multiple objectives must be congruent and appropriate.
  • Organizations need systems of guidance and control to navigate.
  • Organizations conducting multiple businesses have special characteristics and needs.

In "True Success," Judson discusses, in detail, what he has learned in his more than half-century-long career, illustrating key points with examples from the worlds of not-for-profit, business and government. He believes his approach to organizational guidance, navigation and control is broadly applicable and will show its worth by the successes he knows readers can achieve.

Judson believes his thinking and methods offer more realistic and effective approaches than what now pass as acceptable, enabling organizations to become more effective and productive.
