Carolee Russell returns to the publishing world with the release of her book, "A Wish for Algie" (published by Trafford Publishing). This children's story teaches important insights on contentment, confidence and gratitude through a captivating tale of a fish on a life-changing adventure.

In "A Wish for Algie," a young fish who seemingly has a perfect life on the reef, becomes restless with the thought that he is missing something in life. He is fascinated with the birds in the air whose life, he believes, seems much more exciting than his own.

One night, under a full moon, he gets his wish to become a bird. What follows next is a vibrant and insightful adventure revealing the importance of being content and happy with one's own life and blessings.

"Algie's experiences will encourage readers, especially children, to know themselves and be comfortable and happy with their own special life given to them," Russell says.

With its delightful characters and vibrant illustrations, "A Wish for Algie" is a wonderful story filled with adventure, fun and, more importantly, valuable lessons for life.

About the Author
Carolee Russell was born and raised in and near Baltimore. Painfully shy throughout her childhood and school years, she slowly began to discover her self-worth in her senior year of high school. She has a talent for art and crafts, which she has shared freely whenever an occasion has had a need for it, whether it be drawing paper-doll clothes for the neighborhood children, designing posters and flyers for office social functions, teaching calligraphy, or creating three-dimensional animals, half an ocean liner, carousel horses, and a Cinderella coach for country-club social functions. Her creative abilities are only constrained by her imagination, but it was the insistence of her granddaughters, Maureen and Mia, for stories that opened up that field to her. Russell has also published "In His Time" and "Murder in the Haunted House," a murder mystery and party play.
