CANTON, Conn.

After observing the majority of the world's population suffer in poverty and the upper classes soar to new heights, author Yusef Rashid DeLaine proposed a fresh economic structure in his new book "A New Economic System: Guide to Debt Elimination and Wealth Creation" (published by Trafford Publishing).

DeLaine's goal with his latest work is to eliminate the debt he feels 95 percent of the world is experiencing because of what he calls a rampant "divide and conquer" mentality. By eliminating this debt, DeLaine hopes to create wealth for those 95 percent whom he claims live in poverty.

The book analyzes the current economic barriers to wealth such as student loan debt and housing bubbles, as well as notable financial crises of 1929 and 2008, to offer a broader picture of the perceived disproportionate socioeconomic climate.

"Money is the lifeblood of all societies and the masses of human beings on Earth are suffering from debt and poverty," DeLaine says. "They are looking for solutions to experience Heaven on Earth, just like the top 5 percent throughout all of history do."
