MUSE to Play Encore Performance at St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church Tomorrow
Just off the stage with its world premiere in Theater For The New City's Dream Up Festival and tour, Kris Lundberg's stage play, "MUSE", will have an encore performance on Friday, December 5th with a pre-show wine reception at 7:30pm and show at 8pm in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn. This one night only event is being hosted by St. Ann & the Holy Trinity Church and Rector, Rev. John Denaro.
In the two-person drama, set in 19th century London at the height of the renowned Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, Kris Lundberg plays Elizabeth Siddal, model and muse for Dante Gabriel Rossetti, played by Greg Pragel. Their behind the scenes art world romance turns cold as Siddal, made famous as the model for Sir John Everett Millais' painting of Shakespeare's Ophelia, emerges as an artist in her own right. Penned by Kris Lundberg and directed by Jay Michaels, this production runs 90-minutes and is produced by the Shakespeare's Sister Company.
Shakespeare's Sister Company is a New York City headquartered nonprofit organization engaging communities in a powerful theater experience and empowering students through creative drama. Founded in 2008, Kris Lundberg is the SSC's artistic director.
