Little Lord to Present DIRTY DANCING (NOT A) SING-ALONG!

This September, have the time of your life with the Brooklyn-based experimental performance company Little Lord! Don your last-ditch summer resort wear and join us for Dirty Dancing (not a) Sing-Along: a screening of everyone's favorite summer love story, along with Borscht Belt comedy, mambo lessons and more. We can't call it a sing-along, but that doesn't stop you from knowing the words...and the moves!

Dirty Dancing (not a) Sing-Along will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 7-11pm at Williamsburg's South 4th Bar & Cafe. Before the screening, join us for a Borscht Belt comedy set by Katie Hartman (Skinny Bitch Jesus Meeting; Made to Order), along with mambo lessons to get you in the end-of-summer Catskill resort mood. Tickets are $20 online; $30 cash at the door. 21 and over.

LITTLE LORD develops and produces smart, lively, and unexpected performances. Focusing on offbeat adaptations of classic or neglected texts, Little Lord plunders the theatrical canon in order to forge new plays from old parts. Founded in 2007 by co-artistic directors Michael Levinton and Laura von Holt, Little Lord's work has been praised as "thought-provoking," "fearless in its weirdness," and "scrappy creative brilliance." Little Lord has been presented at experimental venues across NYC, including the Bushwick Starr, Judson Church, HERE Arts Center, the OHIO Theater, the Chocolate Factory Theater, and Incubator Arts Project. Our latest, "BAMBIF*CKER/KAFFEEHAUS" was a sold-out NYTimes Critic's Pick. Little Lord's 10th original performance piece, "NOW IS THE TIME. NOW IS THE BEST TIME. NOW IS THE BEST TIME OF YOUR LIFE." will premiere at Abrons Arts Center in October 2016.
