Big Data Comes to the Brooklyn Bowl Tonight
Big Data is Alan Wilkis, a native New Yorker, who creates paranoid electronic music. His single "Dangerous (feat. Joywave)" is already top 10 at Alternative radio, has charted week after week on the Spotify Viral 50, has been #1 at Sirius Alt Nation countdown 3 weeks in a row (800 spins deep), and has been written up by the Wall Street Journal, Fast Company and GQ.
Wilkis will bring his live show to Brooklyn Bowl on Saturday, July 12th sharing the bill with collaborators Joywave. Rounding out his live lineup are Zachary Colwell (CHAPPO) on bass, "Gunnar" Aren Gregory Olsen (The Exit) on drums and Janelle Kroll on vocals. Big Data's "1.0" EP is out now and his debut album is coming soon.
There have already been over 20 syncs for "Dangerous," including uses on ESPN, the NFL Network, The Veronica Mars Movie, The Big Bang Theory, and British Airways among others.Big Data topped Jason Bentley's (KCRW) "Bands to Bank on in 2014" list for WIRED Magazine and was recently profiled on Trendland.
