Where Fijian folklore meets world-class stagecraft, Fiji Untold redefines Pacific performance. Created by the internationally acclaimed VOU Dance Fiji, this 60-minute theatrical powerhouse weaves ancient myth with modern spectacle, fusing explosive contemporary choreography, thunderous live drumming, and raw athletic energy.
Step far beyond the typical cultural show and follow Lagi, an outcast drawn into a spellbinding underworld ruled by shape-shifting Iguana Spirits, eerie Octopus Gods, and formidable Giant Women. Brought to life by a captivating tribe of performers, it’s a hypnotic tale of identity and strength told through intense physical theatre, immersive visual projections, and dynamic stage lighting.
The Experience
The Atmosphere: A total sensory immersion designed for theatre lovers, couples, and families alike.
Pre-Show: Arrive early to soak up the venue’s energy before the auditorium darkens.
Meet the Tribe: Join the performers in the lobby after the curtain call for pictures.
Join our mission: Entertainment With a Heart: The Purpose Behind the acrobatics and laughter is VOU's founding mission: turning raw creative talent into sustainable careers for young Fijians. Ticket proceeds support the Conservatorium of Dance (Fiji's first accredited tertiary dance qualification) which each year awards 20 young Fijians a fully-funded two-year diploma in Performing Arts, plus accommodation and a living allowance for the duration of their studies. Every graduate is guaranteed full-time work with the VOU Dance Company. VOU now employs more than 80 Fijians in the creative arts, with women holding the majority of its leadership roles.
Our dream is to build a world where young Fijians have access to quality creative education, allowing them to use their gifts to carve out real, sustainable careers," says Sachiko Soro, Director of VOU. "We train our youth to an elite international standard so they can step onto the world stage with confidence. We believe that Fijians have a special kind of contagious happiness, that, combined with beautiful cultural storytelling through circus, dance, acrobats and humour, together we can create magic and human connection even for a moment. Right now, the world just needs more happiness, more joy, and more bridges. For us, those bridges are the canvas of a circus tent, a place where people can come together, escape for a moment, and share a laugh."
