Queensland Performing Arts Centre Announces More Performances on Sale For GREASE

GREASE is still the word - due to an unprecedented demand for tickets, more performances are being released for sale on 15 July in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

GREASE producer John Frost said, "We're thrilled with the overwhelming demand for tickets - the rush to buy tickets shows that GREASE must be everyone's favourite party musical. So we've added additional weeks and performances so everyone can get to see this fantastic cast perform in one of the most loved musicals of all time."

Frost also announced additional cast members for his multi-million dollar production. Playing Marty will be Karla Tonkich, currently performing in Legally Blonde, Eugene will be played by Eli Cooper, Antoniette Iesue will be Patty, and the role of Cha Cha will be played by Andrea Arena. Also joining the cast are Jared Bryan, Elisha Chin, Stefanie De Castro, Euan Doidge, Mitchell Mahony, Natasha Marconi, Scott Morris, Shannon O'Shea, Daniel Raso, Stephanie Silcock and Jessica White.

They join the already announced stellar cast members Rob Mills as Danny and Gretel Scarlett as Sandy, Bert Newton(Vince Fontaine), Todd McKenney (Teen Angel), Anthony Callea (Johnny Casino), VAl Lehman (Miss Lynch), Lucy Maunder (Rizzo), Stephen Mahy (Kenickie), Francine Cain (Frenchy), Chris Durling (Doody), Sam Ludeman (Sonny),Duane McGregor (Roger) and Laura Murphy (Jan).

GREASE previews at Queensland Performing Arts Centre's (QPAC's) Lyric Theatre from 20 August, with official opening night on Sunday 25 August, followed by seasons at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 13 October, and at Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne from 2 January 2014.

GREASE is the Number One Party musical, featuring all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You're The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted To You, Sandy, Greased Lightnin' and many more.

So get ready to dust off your leather jackets, pull on your bobby-socks and take a trip to a simpler time as "bad boy" Danny and "the girl next door" Sandy fall in love all over again.
