Green Jam, the Queensland Performing Arts Centre's (QPAC's) FREE live music program continues with a new line up from 1 July until 23 December 2016 (inclusive) every Friday evening, 5.30pm to 7.30pm on the Melbourne Street Green.
The FREE sessions are back with a huge line up and a wide range of performers and genres; something for everyone.
From July to December, Green Jam will play host to 11 acts from the Queensland Conservatorium, 5 Indigenous artists, an act from the music and arts festival Jungle Love (soon to be announced) and favourites returning from the 2015 sessions.
There will also be acts from the Brisbane City Council's contemporary youth music program The QUBE Effect; a program that saw support from both QPAC and 4ZZZ.
QPAC's Chief Executive Mr John Kotzas also confirmed a renewed partnership with Heritage Bank for Green Jam.
"There are many synergies between QPAC's vision to provide unforgettable arts experiences for communities and Heritage Bank's commitment to 'people first' has ensured a fruitful partnership for Green Jam.
"For some time QPAC together with partner Heritage Bank have been committed to delivering free live performances, like Green Jam, to showcase the incredible talents of our established and emerging home grown artists. The recent expansion of this partnership for a further 2 years ensures the continuation of such opportunities for artists and audience and we thank Heritage Bank for their support", said Mr Kotzas.
Heritage Bank CEO Mr Peter Lock said giving back to the community was an integral part of the Heritage story.
"Heritage's focus is on making life better for our customers, and the communities they live in. We're delighted to partner with QPAC and provide people with a fantastic musical experience, as well as giving the artists the chance to reach a wider audience.
"At Heritage, we're passionate about helping people, both in the financial sense and through supporting events that enrich their lives as a whole," concluded Mr Lock.
The Green Jam food and beverage team will continue to serve up mouth-watering eats and refreshing beverages ensuring Green Jam goers start their weekend well.
Don't miss out on kicking back at Green Jam in 2016. Alive with music and lights, the Melbourne Street Green is the perfect location to end the working week.
