¡VOS! by Christina Pumariega follows Annie as she returns to her estranged birthplace of Buenos Aires to undergo IVF treatments with the renowned Dr. Cossi, a journey toward motherhood that unexpectedly uncovers the lives of two women who vanished during Argentina's Dirty War. The cast features Francesca Santodomingo as Annie and Sofia, and Maggie Bofill as Dr. Cossi, Ana & Others. The production is directed by Kimberly Senior with scenic design by Afsaneh Aayani, projections design by Kelly Colburn, and costume design by Shahrzad Mazaheri.

Review: ¡VOS! at Contemporary American Theater Festival
July 15, 2026 The one-word title of this play isn't just a form of direct address; in Argentina, it's a form of 'You!' that turns its gaze away from the stage and back on all of us in the audience. Playwright Christina Pumariega is determined that we never forget the Disappeared of Argentina, and recognize the emotional chaos that juntas routinely create. Her new play, ¡Vos!, reminds us how important it is to come to terms with our heritage, warts and all. It also is a timely reminder that those who seek refuge here in the USA, overwhelmingly, are fleeing conditions that no human being should have to endure.
