These Shining Lives is based on the true story of four women who worked in a 1920s Illinois watch factory, painting clock faces with luminous radium paint. At first, the job offers independence, friendship, and pride, but as the women’s health begins to deteriorate, they discover the deadly truth hidden by their employers. Through humor, camaraderie, and courage, they take on a legal battle that will change workplace safety forever. This is a heartfelt, lyrical play about resilience, the power of solidarity, and leaving a legacy that shines beyond one’s lifetime.
Tilden Arts Center is at 2240 Iyannough Rd. W. Barnstable, MA 02668, West Barnstable, MA.
