CHUANG Stage presents the world premiere of Mfoniso Udofia's The Ceremony, the sixth play in the Ufot Family Cycle, directed by Kevin R. Free. This production follows Ekong Ufot, portrayed by Kadahj Bennett, as he prepares to marry Lumanti Rathi, navigating the complexities of merging Ibibio and Nepali cultures. The ensemble cast includes Natalie Jacobs as Toyoima Ufot, Salma Qarnain as Amma Rathi, and Cheryl Singleton as Abasiama Ufot, among others. The play explores themes of love, legacy, and cultural fusion while deepening the narrative of Udofia's family saga.
