Winthrop Playmakers Present AS YOU LIKE IT, 10/5-14
By: BWW News Desk
The Winthrop Playmakers are set to open their 2012-2013 Season with William Shakespeare's beloved comedy As You Like It, directed by Parker Reed & Steavie Hergenrader.
Shakespeare's comedy about kissing courtiers and country copulatives transports us all into the inspiring Forest of Arden. We follow a motley mix of wondering wanderers to find "tongues in trees" and "books in the running brooks," and through great debates concerning realism vs. romanticism, mirth vs. melancholy, and grasping gadgets vs. nurturing Nature, we are invited to weave a way toward happiness. This production comments on modern day corporate America and is sure to intrigue and delight audiences of all ages!Come one, Come All… As You Like It runs October 5-14, 2012. Reviews are allowed for this production. Tickets are $20/Adults $15/Students and Seniors. For tickets or more information, visit www.winthropplaymakers.com. The Winthrop Playhouse is located at 60 Hermon St. Winthrop, Mass.
