Winthrop Players Opens STEEL MAGNOLIAS Tonight
Join the Winthrop Playmakers as they continue their milestone 75 season with their upcoming production of Steel Magnolias, directed by Stephanie Manning.
Set in smalltown Louisiana, Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias has come to be one of the quintessential stories of friendship and trust. Truvy owns a localhomegrown beauty salon, where all the ladies who are "anybody" go to have their hair done. Six very different women who regularly gather there come together to share their secrets, fears and love for one another while engaging the audience in hysterical and neighborly gossip. With characters that are touching, hilarious, and entirely realistic, Steel Magnolias is a production not to be missed.
Steel Magnolias' ensemble cast includes Stephanie Cotten Snell as Truvy, Christina Lonardo as Annelle, Nancy Tutunjian Berger as Clairee, Stanis Johnson as Shelby, Juliana Dennis as M'Lynn, and Carolyn Cafarelli as Ousier.
Running tonight, November 15, 16, 22, & 23 at 8:00PM with matinee performances November 17 and 24 at 3:00PM, you can purchase tickets now by visiting www.winthropplaymakers.com or by calling 6175391175. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
