Tickets still available for Franklin Performing Arts Company’s Humbug!

By:

Featuring Franklin's Nick Paone as Ebenezer Scrooge, the Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) will present its original holiday musical Humbug! on Saturday, December 17th at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, December 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, 224 Oak Street in Franklin. With a contemporary spin on Charles Dickens' classic tale A Christmas Carol, Humbug! brings to life Ebenezer Scrooge's encounters with spirits and his moral awakening during the holidays, complemented by Broadway songs, contemporary pop and classic hits.

Last performed in 2009, Humbug! returns to FPAC's 2011-2012 slate of productions by popular demand. The show features a pit band of Boston's best jazz and theater musicians. Humbug! also showcases one hundred and fifty local performers under the direction of Paone and Raye Lynn Mercer. Musical Director is Hallie Wetzell.

Humbug! features Alan Mercer in the role of Jacob Marley, Samantha Millette as Christmas Past, Kellie Stamp as Christmas Present, and Ed Jones as Christmas Future. The role of Boy Scrooge is played by Zach Kelley with Lucas Melfi as Young Scrooge, Erica McLaughlin as Frederique, Melissa Mandia as Belle, Bill Roberts as Bob Cratchit and Antonio Weissinger asTim Cratchit.
