Eric Carle's story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" has delighted generations of readers and sold more than 43 million copies worldwide since 1969. Now Eric Carle's creations "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and other favorite characters are making their way from the page to the stage in a one-of-a-kind, live production. Generously sponsored by Amica Insurance, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show comes to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts on Thursday, April 4, with limited tickets available for a 10 am student matinee and a 6 pm open to the public. Tickets are on sale now to members and go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, October 9 at 10 am.

Eric Carle's books have captivated readers with his iconic, colorful hand-painted tissue paper collage illustrations and distinctively simple stories, introducing generations of children to a bigger, brighter world and to their first experience of reading itself.

Created by Jonathan Rockefeller, the critically acclaimed production of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, faithfully adapting four of Carle's stories, "Brown Bear," "10 Little Rubber Ducks," "The Very Lonely Firefly" and, of course, the star of the show, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

Tickets to The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show start at $19. Discounts are available to members of The Hanover Theatre and groups of 10 or more. Tickets are available online at TheHanoverTheatre.org, by phone at 877.571.SHOW (7469) or at The Hanover Theatre box office located at 2 Southbridge Street in downtown Worcester.
