Producing Artistic Director, Weylin Symes, is pleased to announce the productions that will comprise Stoneham Theatre's tenth anniversary season, September 2009 to June 2010. Stoneham Theatre will present seven Mainstage performances and one Emerging Stages production.

The tenth season is inspired by successful productions from the first nine seasons, and includes beloved classics and exceptional new work. Symes says, "It's been nearly ten years since a group of us took note of a neglected theatre and decided the MetroNorth region needed its own professional theatre. Nine seasons and sixty shows later, we're proud to have shared so many stories, both silly and serious, with the greater Boston community."
Season 10 continues the tradition of diverse programming. The New England premiere of Studs Terkel's The Good War is followed by the East Coast premiere of The Sparrow, a fresh, youthful and exciting modern fable from Chicago's House Theatre.
Symes says, "With the success of the Bruins this year, we're thrilled to present the U.S. Premiere of Hockey Mom, Hockey Dad in January." It's a tender comedy of love, family and Pee Wee hockey. In March, the New England Premiere of Robert and Willie Reale's The Dinosaur Musical is a natural follow-up to this year's successful production of A Year With Frog and Toad- "and a hoot to boot," says Symes.
The Emerging Stages series returns with Daniel MacIvor's remarkable one-man show, Cul-de-sac. Add in the classic titles My Fair Lady, Gaslight and the original version of A Christmas Carol which re-openEd Stoneham Theatre's doors in 2000 and Stoneham Theatre's tenth season is a smorgasbord of delicious theatre for audiences.
